Dubai: All Things New

It has been twenty-three days since I landed in Dubai to start a new job and a new life. Though there are many things that I still cannot do, I find that this life is good. The challenges lie in perfecting creative endeavors and sharing knowledge of crafting with the people I handle in our workshops.

I enjoy the job immensely and am looking forward to what lies ahead in the years that I expect to be here.

What My Writing Life Looks Like

Quiet mornings tapping away at my keyboard.

Coffee gone cold.

Hastily made vegetarian fried rice.

A mess of tissues and scrap sheets of paper beside me.

My two-hundred-and-ninety-one track playlist on my headset.

A special kind of contentment.

RoboQuest: If you could float in a hot-air balloon over any city or place in the world, what would you choose to float over?

A: I would choose to float over the Mayan and Aztec ruins or the landscapes of Hokkaido. Or perhaps over the autumn forests of the European countryside and spot an ancient castle or two nestled in the green.

BluHevn's Blues and Other Colors

Colors reflect a state of mind. Your state of mind reflects the colors of your reality.

Older that 28, younger than37; much less than an angel, trying to be a little more like the person I'm meant to be each day; Love food and rain and clear sky and sunflowers and cats and colors; hate when I see it's worth hating...That's me, for now.

Walk with me through literary and artistic endeavors. Art needs to be seen, stories need to be heard. I may fall short of lofty goals many times, but I pray you be patient and still walk by my side.

Let me walk with you, too.
